About

Meet Joe Comeau. Credentialed speech coach. Creator of About Your Accent. Trainer to thousands of other trainers.

I created AboutYourAccent.com to cut through the noise and give people real, no-B.S. training that actually works. If your communication skills are getting hammered because your American English pronunciation isn’t clear, this is your fix. I’ve worked with professionals from every corner—healthcare, sales, finance, engineering, computer science, consulting—you name it. My goal is simple: get you sounding confident, understandable, and in control so your ideas land the first time, every time. No filler. No guesswork. Just results.

I might not look it, but I’ve been involved with accent and pronunciation instruction since 2001 – over 25 years. I’ve been a teacher to other teachers in this field since 2008. I love this stuff, and I’ve been in the accent and pronunciation instruction field long before AI tutors and quick-fix YouTube hacks showed up.

Here’s what I know: people don’t look for pronunciation coaching when things are fine. They look for it when the stakes are high—when communication gaps cost them respect, opportunities, or income. And what I love most about this line of work is the drive and motivation I see in the clients I work with. People typically seek help with the skill and accuracy of American English Pronunciation when there is a lot on the line, when the stakes are high, and when their career depends on it.

I help ambitious professionals stop being the guy who’s “hard to follow” and start being the one who commands attention. If your American English pronunciation is holding you back—even just a little—I’ve got you covered.

I’m not talking about “sounding American” and losing your identity. American English is the model I use because it’s my first language. I’m talking about clarity, confidence, and control—making sure every word lands the way you intend, whether you’re in a meeting, giving a presentation, or pitching a client. It’s about owning the room, landing every word with precision, and making sure people focus on what you’re saying—not how you’re saying it.

Over the years, I’ve trained countless professionals to master the rhythms, intonation, and consonants that make English effortless to understand. I’ve created systems, exercises, and online resources that give you real results, fast. From one-on-one coaching to structured courses and self-paced practice tools, everything I do is designed for professionals who don’t settle for “good enough.”

The system I use is built for results. It is built on specific structure and includes real feedback. It delivers measurable results and real change. I offer one-on-one coaching and guided online programs, using proven techniques that rewire your pronunciation habits fast and permanently, with the option to “turn on” your new skills whenever it matters most.

If you’re ready to put in a little commitment, speak with authority, get taken seriously, and be understood the first time, every time – welcome to About Your Accent. Let’s get to work.
